My name is Theresa Cunningham and I am so very honored to be featured on “Women Who Do it All!” I am currently a stay at home mom.
My husband has been in Iraq for two years and although times are hectic around the house, I LOVE my job!
Last year I started sewing for myself, daughter, family and friends; it was almost therapeutic for me. I began adding appliqués to t-shirts and onesies for my friends or as gifts. People loved the product and I decided it was time to venture out, and Sucre Lulu was born!
The business is named after my daughter Olivia (aka Lulu), as she is my sweet inspiration. Last summer I was asked to “create” some tanks for a friends business, and at a live feed with Good Day Sacramento a number of news casters commented on them. I was later contacted by them and within week s two local stations were doing stories on Sucre Lulu. It was quite a humbling experience.
From there the business took off; however, in the last six months I have made the decision to focus on accessories (and occasional toddler t-shirts and onesies). I love vintage inspired clothing and home décor, and the mini bobby clips, hairclips, pins and headbands reflect that. Many have compared the accessories to those from Anthropologie, yet at half the price!
Sucre Lulu is in two local salons, has been asked to be a part of several trunk shows, and has recently hit the blogging world! Again, thank you for giving me the opportunity to celebrate retro fashion and vintage couture with you! Good luck… Theresa and Lulu
Thanks for the great giveaway Theresa! And for the chance to review your products. What is Sucre Lulu giving away? A $25 gift certificate that you may spend however you would like on cute things like these:
Sucre Lulu has the cutest headbands, and flower clips of all sizes!
Here is what I was sent to review:
The most adorable headband, a flower bobby pin and a large flower clip. I was so excited when I got my package in the mail. Everything was packaged so nicely. I immediately knew that Sucre Lulu is a high quality boutique.
I wore this cute pink bobby pin clip the same day.
How cute is that? We were one our way to visit some friends. Theresa sent me some business cards with my clips and let me tell you, I had passed them all out within an hour or arriving! I couldn't get people to stop telling me how cute the clip was :)
The next day was one of those days where I didn't want to get ready at all. The bubs didn't let me take a shower and I felt pretty gross! Normally I would have just gone the day looking like a bum, but I decided to put on the headband that Theresa had sent me and I was honestly amazed and how much it alone dressed up my look. It actually looked like I put some effort into my appearance (which I didn't, lol). Don't believe me? Have a look!
What I love the most about Sucre Lulu accessories is that they are unique. There are a lot of flower accessories out there right now and I love being able to wear something that's fashionable without looking just like everyone else. These are the cutest flower accessories I have yet to see!
Here is me in my third and final clip to review. This cute flower came on an alligator clip and that made it really easy to add it to any hair style. You can clip it by your ponytail, very cute. Or do like I did here and clip it over the boring old bobby pins I used to hold back that annoying front piece of hair.
What I found from reviewing Sucre Lulu accessories is that it can actually be very easy to accessorize! I always shy away from accessorizing because 1) I doubt my abilities to do so 2) I don't want to spend the time to get all done up and 3) It can be expensive.
But with Sucre Lulu all three of those problems are overcome! The accessories are affordable and they match with almost anything! I never planned my outfits around these accessories. I got dressed and then threw them on as an afterthought, but they certainly didn't look that way! They really added to my look whether I was "done-up" or not.
