I am one of those people that just HAS to try
the newest and greatest thing that comes out.
Case in point...White Chocolate Candy Corn M&M's.
Bloggers and Facebookers were talking/raving about this new m&m
that only Walmart was going to carry.
So, I stalked our local Walmart a few times
only to come back disappointed each time.
Then the one day that I actually had to go there for something necessary,
(even though I think candy is totally necessary:-)
I turned the corner and there on one of the ends
was an entire shelf full of these new treats.
I snagged 2 bags...one TO BAKE with and one TO EAT.
For research purposes only though:-)
I was curious if the flavor was chocolate and candy corn...
the candy corn is for the COLOR ONLY I have discovered.
These m&m's are super sweet, so what did I do with them?
Baked them up in a brownie galette!
Because they weren't sweet enough on their own:-)
Candy Corn M&M Brownie Galette
1 refrigerated pie crust
1 box brownie mix
1 package white chocolate candy corn m&m's
Preheat oven to 350* Unroll pie crust and place in a pie plate with edges hanging over. Prepare brownie mix according to the 2 egg directions. Stir in m&m's, reserving 1/2 c. for garnish. Pour brownie batter into pie shell. Very carefully fold over the edges of the pie crust. It doesn't have to look pretty, so just fold randomly. Bake 50 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center doesn't come out with batter on it. Cool on a wire rack before removing to a serving plate. Cut into pie wedges and top with extra m&m's.
Happy Thursday!!!
