That got me thinking about these newborn cocoons I make:
Anyone can make these! Many of you probably already know the trick, but if you don't you'll be shocked to hear how easily they can be made.
Pick up a Knifty Knitter from JoAnns or Micheals and follow the instructions for a hat, just make it WAY longer. That's it! You'll want to get the size meant to make adult hats, I believe it's the green one.
Then use a bulky weight yarn and follow the easy instructions in the pamphlet that comes with your Knifty Knitter. I kept going until mine was about 21 inches long because you loose some length when you gather the bottom and it's better too long than too short in my opinion.
I love these things because babies are normally so happy and cozy inside them, you can get lots of great shots. And if you've got a baby who can't seem to sleep through the commotion of the session, this always does the trick!
Happy Sunday :)
