Expressions Wall Art Give-Away

Happy Monday all! I know I had said I would share a memo board how to, but that will have to wait for next week. I have a quite a treat for you today. I have a little project to share with you and then a fabulous give-away. Earlier this week I got a pretty sweet package in the mail. This package was from Expressions Wall Art. Natalie, from Expressions Wall Art, sent me one of her Rules of the House vinyl wall decals to review. I was so excited to be given this opportunity. Before I tell you what I made with the cute vinyl she sent me, let me tell you a little about Expressions Wall Art. Natalie has such a cute vinyl store. I mean look at these pictures. Isn't the vinyl just amazing? I love how vinyl makes such a BIG statement and can really make a space its own.

It is no secret that I love vinyl. I have it throughout my house and plan to do more. I think it just makes things so personal. It is putting a little piece of you on your wall, through words that mean something to you.

I am very excited to show you what I did with my Rules of the House Wall Art decal. Here we go...

Everything arrived so quickly and packaged perfectly. A sample piece of vinyl was even included, with instructions on how to apply. I thought this was pretty cool.

Right away I knew which wall space this fabulous quote would be dawning.
It's home would be in our eating area.

Photobucket

It was looking pretty sad and I really had no clue what to do with this space. Once I got the vinyl, it all came together in my head. I love when that happens:>

I picked out a space on my wall and began applying.
I removed the contact paper, grabbed my level and started applying.

Photobucket

It is best to always do a little at a time, just in case you mess up, which I do often. Keeping things levelled is not one of my strengths.

Once I pulled off the backing sheet,
I got to adding other things from around
my house to make this space.

I had these two candle holders and knew they would look perfect in this space. They started out like this. Scary colorful right?

I removed the hanging beads and started painting.
I used the same paint I used to make my monogrammed munchkin stools.
I did another paint coat after this, so the orange was no longer visible.

Photobucket

I added some shelves, my candle holders,
and painted some picture frames black as well.

I felt like it was all really starting to come together

I then realized I still had that sample piece of vinyl.
I decided to add that to my wall collage as well.

I love how this wall looks now. Our eating area is amazingly cute now. I just love to sit and stare. Yeah I am a little stalkerish like that, after I finish a project.
