Minecraft Birthday Party with Free Printables

newborn photographer, Chesapeake, VA, baby photographer Virginia Beach, VA, cake smash photographer Norfolk, VA, family photographer, headshots, professional portrait studio Virginia and North Carolina

The nice thing about being a photographer, when it comes time to throw a birthday party, is knowing how to use photoshop to create printable décor! (newborn photographer in Chesapeake, VA

For my son's sixth birthday he wanted a Minecraft party- what little boy doesn't, right?!  After scouring Pinterest and deciding what I wanted to do, I set to work creating what I would need.

Enderman party favor bags

These bags were pretty easy to put together!  Just pick up some black bags from your local Party City (or similar store), print out the printable eyes I've created here, cut them out, and glue them onto the bags.  Click here to download the printable eyes.

TNT party favors
These were a little more work, but I thought they turned out nicely.  I ordered these 2 inch clear boxes off Amazon.  I took a piece of printer paper, cut the strips about an inch tall, folded them in four to make them fit inside the boxes, and wrote TNT on each side with a sharpie.  Then I taped it into the inside of the box and filled the box with red vines (which had to be cut to fit in the box).

Here's what those look like in use.

Okay, aren't these the cutest printables?!  Talk about making dad feel special!  I am hoping I can get around to doing this for my hubby, he really does a lot to help with the boys!  And I had to laugh at the bacon on the cupcakes because Jason LOVES bacon too.  Maybe that's just a typical man thing?!  Anyways, you can find these printables at Shindig Parties.

I love this free Father's Day printable from My Computer is my Canvas!  It would be really cute in a frame all by itself, but Colette has shown you how to turn it into a cute countdown too if you've got a hubby who travels for business or gets deployed.

Free Vday Printable: 5x7 Subway Art Heart

I was feeling so inspired by some of the Valentine's Day subway art I've seen around so last night I decided to make some of my own to share with all my sweet readers.  I'm going to be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of subway art until I saw the Valentine's Day versions.  The soft, warm colors and swirly, elegant fonts really balance the very streamline, modern feel of subway art.

You can download my free printable here.  And here's how to get it frame-ready:

1) Download the printable.
2) Copy the picture and paste it into a word document.
3) Print it onto a pink or purple sheet of paper/cardstock
4) Cut your paper down to fit into your frame.

The design is meant to be a 5x7.  I have mine in an 8x10 frame with a 5x7 mat.

I hope you'll all enjoy it :)
